Reddit was down... So I made a Superstonk alternative in Lemmy.

creator here was really on the ball huh?

Personally I think that /r/superstonk should've shown solidarity with Reddit/ an indefinite blackout. People claiming 3rd party apps and the API issues weren't important did not sit well with me. I bet our reddit mods were not using new, IPO ready Reddit to do their work.

I hope some more of us join up here.

I'm making the move here. I was mostly a lurker on Reddit, but I am happy to step up my participation to get the ball rolling over here :)

I am surprised more people don't want to move off reddit. I think Lemmy/fediverse is perfect for everyone

Anytime, I think more and more Apes will eventually migrate here. We need a true forum that isn't subject to corporate control. Lemmy is perfect because it's federated and can never be shutdown or owned by a corporation.

Exactly. People have looked to GameStop to provide some sort of web3 platform when this federation service is fulfilling a lot of needs. Who knows if this exact community will be the one people stay in? Easy access to making new instances and communities is awesome.
