I made the [email protected] community here and I'm not sure how to advertise it. I don't want to be obnoxious about it but I have to admit discoverability here is kinda bad

Just post stuff. If someone finds it interesting, they'll comment on it, and before you know it, you'll have built a community. I just started one myself, not really stressing myself out over it :)

It would be probably pretty similar if you just started a sub on reddit or any kind of forum I guess. It interest me in particular you community, but I'm not sure how it would be the best war to solve this in general, the newcommunities shared by @[email protected] seem like a great idea to advertise without annoying many people, probably will keep an eye on that.

It just occurred me how it was usually done in reddit, you could advertise in related subs, for example [email protected] but it's usually done with the permission of the mods of these subs.
