I've noticed sometimes screen fails to auto-lock after timeout has passed for various reasons (video playback, bugs, etc.).

This is a big privacy concern for me since I sometimes leave my phone on my desk assuming it will auto lock after 30 seconds.

Has anybody eslse encountered search issues and if the answer is yes how do you go about resolving it?

Which device is this? It shouldn't be automatically locking if you're playing a video AFAIK.

It's a Motorola Edge 20 Pro.

There are some apps (like video player) that if you open it, the screen won't lock. Because it's hard to figure out which screen wouldn't lock, I enable the Accessibility feature which has a lock button in it. I also put in a "Lock" button in the same location on all my home screens. I lock the phone manually except on the screen I know for sure the phone will lock automatically.
