This is a forum for discussion about Mlem. We welcome a degree of general chatter, but anything not related to Mlem may be removed at moderator discretion. This is not a forum for iPhone/Android debate. Posts and comments saying nothing but "iOS bad/I use Android" will be removed as off-topic.
We welcome constructive criticism, but ask that it be both precise and polite.

FAQ

When will insert feature here be implemented?
- Check our issue board--if there isn't an issue open for the feature you want, feel free to open an issue or make post! Just remember that devs are people too--we're doing this for free in our spare time, and building a quality app takes a lot of patient work.
Is Mlem available for Android?
- No. Mlem is written using SwiftUI, which is not currently supported on Android. If such support becomes available, we will look into bringing Mlem to our Android friends.
How do I join the beta?
- The TestFlight link is here, though we can't guarantee there will be room left--Apple imposes a strict 10,000 tester limit.
How do I join the dev team?
- Head over to our recruitment channel, or go straight to our GitHub and read CONTRIBUTING.md to get started.

Ahead of our App Store update tomorrow, we’ve fixed a whole lot of bugs and refined some of our new features:

Features and Improvements

Recent searches are now stored per-account
Optimized search view rendering
Added a swipe gesture to delete a recent search
Improved account switching screen
Added an option to disable the “swipe up from tab bar” gesture

Bug Fixes

Recent searches from instances not federated with the current account no longer appear
Refreshing your own profile no longer causes an error
Refreshing a profile now also refreshes the content of that profile, including things like vote counts
Fixed certain actions being published on background threads
Fixed inbox unread count incrementing every time you vote on a mention or reply
Fixed search spamming the API
Fixed home page sometimes having no items when navigating back from search
edit Fixed info stack not aligning properly

It’s not mentioned in the changelog: the info widget is now left/right aligned, thanks! That improves the UI a lot.

I noticed that the messages/inbox still have the "old" post/comment UI, is that intended?

Nice spot, I've updated the post.

Re: messages, right now we're sticking with what we've got--we'll get around to bringing its design more in line with the rest of the app, but we're holding off until we've got something we're really happy with.

Anyone else having extra loud keyboard clicks and clacks while typing in mlem? Just tested in Memmy and Mail and they are normal volume there, but very loud in Mlem.
