She doesn't know I left the house today. There's something in the trunk of my car.

Something she's been wanting for months now. Something she hasn't brought up in a while. Something she probably thinks I forgot about.

I didn't. She gets home in a few hours. I can't wait for her to see it.

I’ve always wanted a prelude as a kid. I kinda forgot about them in recent years. Such a cool car.

Such a pretty car!

Also glad the surprise was appreciated!

Yeah, I'd be increasingly certain I was about to get murdered throughout this whole little journey.

I wasn’t sure what u was looking at. They are some expensive forks. Like $1000 dollars expensive.

The ones pictured are stainless steel, not sterling silver. Service for 8 is less than $300 on Amazon.

That’s still a lot more than I paid for my spoons and forks.

She hasn't stopped talking about them. I think I really made her feel special tonight.

Oh I meant about shopping at Dillard's instead.

(Kidding) Glad she liked them! Surprise gifts are always better than holiday gifts.

Gotcha. It wasn't my first time shopping at Dillard's. It won't be my last. I genuinely love shopping at Dillard's. Neither of us would have dreamed of buying stuff there ten years ago when we were working for peanuts.

As someone who loves surprises, I find this incredibly sweet and thoughtful. You're a great partner.

Thank you. 😊

She's on her way home now. It's really hard not to spill the beans right now lmao

I would do the same but pose sexily on the hood instead
