The introduction of this trailer really looks like they were going for a Monkey Island movie.
Then I thought, why haven't they made a Monkey Island movie?

Is it just me, or does the movie look... not great?
This looks actually worse than I thought it would. Why even make this? I would rather rewatch the anime.
Looks like a charming fan-made trailer. Hopefully the real thing lands more on the charming side
Having watched the entire season I gotta say: "I ain't mad."
Overall a decent adaptation of the manga/anime. Sure, there are inaccuracies, but when compressing 3 seasons with a total of 47 episodes into a single season with 8 episodes, there's only so much story you can cover.
