Today is the anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan in 1991. Soon after, a new flag was adopted. With its carpet patterns, Turkmenistan possibly has the world's most complex national flag (upload.wikimedia.org)

🇹🇲 the flag emoji is also quite complex, I would have thought they'd simply it, although it's so small I can't see where the difference are on my phone.

Definitely my favourite! Kazakhstan is a close second
