Hope I don't get too much hate as on the old platform I'm sure I would. I think it was still a banable offense.

Which aspect of this would have been controversial, since you bring it up?

Back on the other website this recipe was known as the "upvote soup" and afaik it spawned a time where this was used to farm karma and counted as vote manipulation because it used to include upvote in the name.

Might be wrong tho, as I didn't participate in that community during those times. Nowadays it's just known as "the soup".

This is my understanding as well.

They replied later with their 'Recipie' and if I had to guess it is because this person cooks like a normal human being who has some home cooked meals that for whatever reason look different from the modern polish blogs and articles want.

I can tell tho this is good shit and I look forward to trying it in cooler weather

Here is the base recipe that I used. https://cafedelites.com/slow-cooker-creamy-tortellini-soup/

I do make a couple modifications though. I had chicken quarters in my freezer so that is what I used instead of the sausage. Browned them in a skillet on both sides than cooked them until fall off the bone. Removed and shredded the chicken than added back.

I only cook the tortellini in a separate pan right before serving since this makes such a large batch it will take us days to finish. Leaving tortellini in the soup causes them to fall apart and loose all of your liquid.

I had a few sprigs of fresh thyme so I added that as well and than removed the stems before serving.

recipe looks almost like a creamy italian wedding soup. I like your chicken idea better

Tortellini, Italy's answer to the dumpling in wonton soup.

I am before breakfast and yet, this looks amazing

Dig the big bowl. More meals should have big bowl opportunities. What kind of tortellini have you got there?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 9 months ago

Thanks. It's half 3 cheese, half Italian sausage from Aldi.

Makes me hungry. Really craving it as the weather is getting colder.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 9 months ago

Exactly my thoughts. Soup season is officially in full swing at our house.

Oh I'm always adding spinach to tortellini soup! This is a new idea for me to try and make it even better thanks!

I hate you for making me hungry at night.
