Wow, i figured that was just a lemmy issue across all instances. Thank you for figuring that out!

Congrats!
Actually I am testing comment speed, but still congrats.
And?
Aight it's faster now, but not super fast yet. Congrats anyway :D
Thanks for the fix ! I also thought it was a general lemmy issue and not a lemmy.world one.
Edit : I seem to still have the "wheel keeps spinning, have to reload to see my comment posted" issue, is that the one you're talking about here ? But tbf it was an issue I even already had on Reddit (mobile web) so I can't be mad π
I noticed the slowness when using the api, sometimes it wouldn't even respond, thank you
Testing.
E: Seems to work.
Thanks, not a test at all.
Great to hear! Long live Limmy.
I'm also experiencing slowness with upvotes. Would this also be impacted?
No it's not
It does feel a lot smoother, thank you for your efforts!
Cheers! Thank you for all your hard work maintaining the instance.
At least it was only for a few weeks and didn't live in production for years π
I can definitely tell there is improvement. Thank you for the hard work! This place is great thanks to you and all the others like you!
Brilliant, thanks for fixing the issue!
Lekker bezig! Thanks!
Sweet thank you
Great news! Now you just need to post this to /m/programminghumor π€£ Thank you!
Oh man I thought that was "Just how Lemmy isβ¦" and resigned myself to baby-sitting my posts.
Thanks for checking and correcting the issue!
BTW, as a sprout on Lemmy.world is there an official "Bug Report" mechanism we should be using?
So much faster now, thank you! It's always solved by some random setting you forgot to change.
Hooray! And thank you.
Are you aware that creating a new account sometimes gets a spinner that seems to hang forever too? Is that related?

I found an odd bug.
I tried creating a comment on a pc browser here:
https://lemmy.world/post/188235?scrollToComments=true
And had the endless circle.
Used Jerboa on android and it gave an error: "that language is not allowed". So I went back to the browser and chose english and it worked.
I can post on other posts, though.
That happens when replying to people on instances with strict languages rules (e.g. Kbin)
I hope the language chooser will be UI wise fixed. It is not really usable.
It should be, it's definitely annoying.
This is awesome. This isn't even our final form π
I'm not able to post to c/news since I just get a spinner icon forever. No one else has posted there for the past day either, and there has been plenty of news since then. I've been able to post to some other communities. So something seems to be wrong specifically with c/news which surprisingly isn't a highly active community like its reddit (or should I say deaddit) counterpart.
I just tested and I can post there... Can you maybe retry (perhaps in a fresh browser window?)
Thanks for the update, @Ruud, although while we're on the subject of posting issues I have a problem with one particular post that I am trying to add to a community here that I moderate.
Basically, it's a long list of archived Reddit threads that formed the bulk of our subreddit's wiki. Each item in the list has a hyperlink that leads back to a Reddit post.
I have tried to submit it about a dozen times over the past few days and twice again since you made this post, but all I get is the little spinny wheel of eternity and the post is never successful.
Is that because of an issue with external links or something else, do you think?
Edit: ok, apprently it's a known issue with Lemmy.
Have you tried changing the language to english?
I had the same problem just now when trying to reply to a post.
