Not sure if it was like this pre-patch, and you can only store weapons and ammo, but it looks like weapon storage is unlimited.

A step in the right direction, if it is from the patch.

I have not noticed, and that is a welcomed change for sure.

I am just waiting for an update where there is some sort of temporal/universal-stationary chest where you can hold all of your items and materials through the NG+. Even a weight limited storage on the NG+ ship that follows your character would be cool.

Maybe they could implement a mechanic where the Starborn merchant can hold items for you.

That way, if you want them back, you have to find them.

Would break the lore a bit, but it would be a cool feature. I can’t imagine what it’s like to leave behind your perfect roll legendaries. I know how much time I’ve put into finding the perfect roll, it’s a lot. And I still haven’t found it/them lmao

Ya, or maybe you transfer only what you are carrying on your person? Anything to be able to keep those legendaries and ammo you find.

If weapons or armor do stay with you it'd be cool to transform them into starborn items, whatever that would mean, whether it be a different skin or some sort of extra attribute or something.

Absolutely a great change intentional or not.

Can you please raise your hand if you enjoy inventory limits? Personally I fucking hate inventory limits as a game mechanic everywhere - I never like being forced to play "Sort your bag of shit" when adventuring and having fun. I loathe it when it's a "grid puzzle" (I.e. Diablo/Path of Exilr) and I loathe it when it's by weight or count. It's always a system that makes games less fun and I always jump on the opportunity to install "Unlimited Weight" mods and the like.

My hand is stuck to the floor lmao.

I understand why they did it in theory, but they should have realized in gameplay/action just how hindering and frustrating it is. Bethesda knows how people play their games, with chests full of all their stuff they’ve collected throughout their adventures. I can’t do that in Starfield unless I want The Lodge as my home base, which I don’t.

Not to mention that storing unlimited things in tiny ammo containers feels odd and strange. If you’re going to let me do that there, why not everywhere else?

@xmunk @Crikeste "Like" might be too strong, but I don't mind inventory limits. I do think that most games feel too restrictive at the beginning. Starfield character inventory feels so much better (to me anyway) with maxed weightlifting and the weapon holsters effect.
