As the title says, if you could only pick 3, which tracks are your absolute favourites?

I made it top 3, because I had a hard time only picking one :P

Here is my top 3:

There are so many others and my top 3 will probably be entirely different in a week.

It's really tough to pick only three, but here goes:

  • Heart of Thorns Theme
  • Battle on the Breachmaker
  • Fear Not This Night (I know you said musical, but it's too good. If you really want musical only, just take the instrumental version of it)

Some really good picks. The Heart of Thorns Theme is tickling my nostalgia :D

Tip: Get your personal GW1 MusicBox by playing Living World Season 3

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Home_instance#NPCs

  • M.O.X. will join your home instance after completing Heart of the Volcano (for the character that completed the chapter).

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/M.O.X.

  • M.O.X. plays music from Guild Wars Prophecies, Guild Wars Nightfall, and Guild Wars: Eye of the North; however, it does not play music from Guild Wars Factions.

Check out this symphony with Land of the Golden Sun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5tDlY2d01s

It looks like lemmy.wtf does not receive any posts/comments from lemmy.world users at the moment, i. e. the federation link is broken/silent for at least 6 hours now.

Apparently large instances like lemmy.world are supposed to massively increase their federation_worker_count in order to address this issue: ➡ https://lemmy.ml/post/1216911

I've put lemmy.wtf at 512 up from 64.

Nice, but I think the issue here isn't lemmy.wtf. Can't hurt either, though.

What a difficult choice! They're all so beautiful lol, let's see:

Guild Wars 2 has soo many good tracks and all of you already picked the best ones. ;D

It was a controversial release but the Icebrood Saga had some very nice atmospherical songs that some people probably overheard.

This one is very weird and i like the virtuose fiddling in it. Truce: Primordus Rising

Then there is the epic Adventure Music from Jormag Rising Eagle Flight

As a metal head i just cant not include the Metal Legion. There is only one of these songs that i really like tho so i will include: METAL LEGION - Fear the Metal Legion

Since the last one was not Instrumental i will add one as a bonus that not many people even know about. Sunny Glade- Metal Cover by Dusk

Yes it is in the game and you can even get it on your own Boom Box: Duskk Boom Box

Without any doubts, Mordremoth is number one. Then probably The Cycle Ends and not sure on number 3, maybe Attack on Tarir.

Is there a way to see which track is playing at a given time in-game? Apart from Fear Not This Night, I can't really name any.

I'd suggest to (ab)use playlists for the GW2 Original Sound Tracks (OST) on YouTube and listen/skip your way through it, until you find what you want. Here are 2 (+1) playlists to get you started:

Bonus GW1 Playlist

Note: There are places in GW2 where the game actually plays music from GW1

Oh thanks! :D I'll need to check these once I get access to my headphones again. Listening with phone speakers is a big no no! Good thing I can save posts here.

You get a feel for them if you listen to them on Spotify.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

I don't think so, but if you can record a short video or tell where you are at when the music plays, I am sure someone here can be of assistance :)
