Wouldn’t an electric guitar be absolutely useless in all of those scenarios?
Also, I’m not surprised he's hitting up a high school…
“BD” refers to Franco-Belgian comics, but let's open things up to include ALL Euro comics and GN's. Euro-style work from around the world is also welcome!
* BD = "Bandes dessinées"
* BDT = Bedetheque
* GN = graphic novel
* LBK = Lambiek
* LC = "Ligne claire"

It's a semi-hollow, so would make a little noise in the immediate area, but not like a classical, of course. Today you could use a small, battery-powered mini-amp to boost the sound a bit (likely sounding fairly crappy), but back in Chuck's day I'd say it's hugely unlikely.
Also, I’m not surprised he’s hitting up a high school…
I don't really know him outside his songs, but IIRC he was indeed something of a "hound dog." So yes, I struggled with the idea of posting these, but I do find them fun, quirky pieces, and Berry's of course an early, influential rock legend. Still, if the community heavily downvotes the post, I understand, and will delete it.
It’s fine. Don’t delete it. I don’t see this post as you condoning his behavior. I was just making a comment.
I think the pose of some characters is weird (especially the cop in the second panel).
Thanks for your input.
The cop is leaning forward because he is approaching but his hips are bend back like he's defensive about it. Some others seem off, too. Look at the pair leaning on the hood of the car in the last panel. They stand in a weird angle to the car and would slide off the hood, I think.
You raise some interesting points, but IME that's pretty-much 'representational cop posture' from the 50's and 60's.
Now, I like how you notice this stuff, because it's the foundation of being an artist IMO. You're looking for details, which is what we do. At the same time-- I can be very WRONG, and I love how others (like you) can correct me, bringing me back to reality, eh?
Sorry, didn't want to be negative. The whole artwork is great but for me something felt a bit off the first time viewing. Only after coming back to it I could see what it was. But that's just my subjective feeling and I'm not realy qualified to be an art critic.
Cop is just doing the silly skank, because he can´t resist a hot tune :)
