Block the repost bots
The problem with this is endeavor is you'll either need to block the 1.1M of alien.top bots or block the whole community.
Totally agree on #2 though.
But, any actual user posting something would either be lost in the noise of repost bots, or posting in a community blocked by many people.
I don't see these ever driving engagement.
By all means, br the change, do post content, but you're probably better off doing so elsewhere, in a community that's not 99.999% bots already.
Oh I block communities all right. But you nail the basic problem with the bots. Comments don't matter because they're list in a swirl of bot activity. On some subs I don't even think there are people there.

I'm currently building my blocklist so hopefully I won't be seeing this place soon.
So far I've got 174 communities on my blocklist, that's for ignoring the 1M bots coming from alien.top that post all over these.

Now all I can do is say "something something be the change you want to see" and PLEASE HELP:
- Go to https://fediverser.network and let's create a comprehensive map of lemmy communities for all the tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of niche subreddits.
- Let people on reddit know that they can easily migrate by going to https://portal.alien.top and connecting their Reddit account.
I can try. I'm going to aim for once a week. Its not that I don't like reddit posts. The problem is they are to frequent and not clearly marked as reddit
