A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.

I'm sure we'll see more and more advanced bot accounts and customer service and the like (assuming it doesn't learn from other ML-made content until it becomes incomprehensible)

Felt this way with Reddit.

Example: post anything remotely not so friendly towards capitalism and every damn time you get like a minimum of 3 nearly identical what are you some kind of commie? responses.

And identical ish responses might as well be AI NPCs even if it's just actual people repeating jokes.

Conversely you even remotely mention the CCP negatively you'll instantly get a disproportionate amount of down votes and comments compared to how active the thread is

Misinformation campaigns are going to be wild. Thought it was bad since 2015? Buckle in. As for me, I'm sick of all this bullshit and kind of just want to become a luddite hermit.

But how can people be real, if our eyes aren't real

Saw a news article recently that a person fell for an AI FaceTime scan that was imitating one of his relatives. He lost something like $40,000.

Edit: Found it. It was actually over $600,000.

That TikTok trend where people act as “NPCs” and just respond to the donation video filters with the same line over and over again are gonna get wild when someone sets up a vtuber to do it and then uses AI for their own voice and for random inperfections to convince people it’s still a real person behind it. Will just print money for them while they’re off doing whatever.

Yeah it's crazy when you think you might not be able to tell you're talking to a bot. Just the other day I saw a TV commercial that was using an AI generated narrator. I had to listen close to tell for sure.
