The characters may be inspired on earthbound, ok, but that doesn't mean they have to be copies of each other with a few very specific differences, which is to say, speculating on top of that doesn't make a lot of sense. We now know that Susie was originally based on Maya Fey of all characters and you can see how that turned out.
