...is it really so difficult to get it on the nail? Wtf? There are plenty of reasons why hanging pictures sucks, but it's definitely not because of the "problem" that this solves.

I'm going to disagree with these other comments. Yes this is kinda pointless for a frame of that size but for bigger frames where you can't hold the frame and lift the wire at the same time? Priceless. It's a good hack for bigger frames.
