Not that you're wrong, but Muhammad married Aisha in 620. It's weird to imply that theocratic nonsense from 1396 is fundamentally different than theocratic nonsense 700+ years earlier.

I mean they could maybe be making a really point how certain people in the west will focus on the pedo profit of Islam but not give a shit about pedophilia in their own history/religion?
I think the point is that both were likely just political marriages that had little if anything to do with sex and romance
Yeah, except the Quran specifically states that Muhammed had sex with Aisha at 9 years old.
He married her at 6, and waited three years before having sex with her, what a gentleman...
Edit: Maybe not the Quran, but the hadiths that talk about their marriage. I tend to forget that Islam's religious texts aren't limited to one book.
