Would you recommend Priory of the Orange Tree? I was considering reading it, but some reviews that felt the length was unnecessary / didn’t pay off had me reconsider at the time.

MODERATORS
It does spend a lot of the initial part of the book delving into the mythology, lore, and history of the world, and the final act is a little shaky. Personally I liked the deep dive aspect of it and would still recommend the book, but if that’s not your thing then it might slow you down. Day of Fallen Night is better in those respects, and it’s technically a stand-alone story, but you might miss some of the background and connections if you don’t read Priory first.
I made it to chapter three of Fourth Wing before I DNF'ed it. The modern slang, the shaky premise, the insta-lust...the book is very much not for me.
I've started reading Tress! I might check out some of these other books
