e.g. - I tried to pull up https://lemmy.world/c/news, assuming searching communities for "news" would bring it up, but it doesn't show in the community list, even though other local communities like "sportsnews" do. Does the search not work as expected currently?

In memmy specifically, tap search on the bottom bar, enter a search term, then tap search communities.

I’m using the TrstFlight version of memmy, the AppStore’s version might be a bit behind and have a bit different UX.

Something weird going on there. [email protected] does not appear in the lemmy search results (ios version), even though it has 12k subscribers and plenty of posts. Turkey_news for example does show up but does not even appear to have any posts.

Right, that's what I'm doing. But [email protected] isn't in the list when searching. And if I search for "!news" under communities, the list is empty, there's no result.

If you type [email protected] that would take you directly there. Don’t use !

Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn't work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: [email protected]

I’m in the Memmy app in the Memmy community and that link doesn’t work. The one in the OP is fine.

I just stumbled upon this myself. You can go to a specific community by writing it in search and clicking communities. E.g [email protected]
