Don't drive traffic to Reddit. The only way to "Troll" Spez is to not use Reddit at all. He doesn't care what people are saying about him and long as they are engaging with the website.

Nothing much changed. It is still bad. But spez is posting on Lemmy all the time to direct people at Reddit to “troll” him. And people fall for it over and over again.

Basically nothing has changed there. Sure some subs are still doing silly little half assed protests instead of just leaving. Sure lots of people randomly spout "fuck /u/spez" instead of just leaving. But when it comes down to it each one of those people is rolling over and taking the changes like good little boys and girls.

There wasn’t a mass exodus, some people left and all things considered, Reddit isn’t much different.
I think you are right about the normal users but I think they alienated a big percentage of top mods. I think the consequences of that are just starting to manifest.
Maybe, I’m not really fussed what happens with Reddit tbh.

Yeah, I’ve just blocked this community.
But the Reddit talk is all over Lemmy, and present in communities that I otherwise do want to follow.
Lemmy really needs filter words for times like these.
I'd also like to argue that they can't talk about Reddit itself over there any more because of the pervasive manipulation and censorship so we should make space for that conversation over here.
Just let Reddit die bro, don't keep it alive by sending people to it.
