Can't stay logged in. No Previous button? (lemm.ee)

If I close all lemm.ee tabs that I have opened for a session it always logs me out and I have to relog, which is so annoying, especially after having 2FA enabled. Is this only me or has nobody else reported this issue?

~~Also, why is there no "Prev" button after clicking on "Next" at the bottom of a page? I get using the back button, or shortcut but sometimes it's convenient to click it, or even just to know if you've scrolled to another page.~~ OK so apparently this is an intentional Lemmy change that removed it. Hard disagree, but oh well.

It's probably your browser settings that is causing that.

For me, I have a slightly different issue. I come to the page (website on desktop, not a phone app) logged in, but all the images for posts and links haven't loaded. If I reload the images will appear again, but it logs me out. After logging in again the problem is resolved.

It's annoying, but it's just a little dance I have to do every so often.

It's possible that the login issue is caused by your browser settings. Are you able to stay logged in for longer on other websites?

Just in case, you could also try completely clearing all cookies for lemm.ee, and then log in directly from the front page.

So I tried this and it helped on Firefox and Arc, which now I can stay logged in (FF had the issue of just loading an error with the site, maybe old cookies or something?). However, on Chrome I still have the same issue even after clearing cookies and site data. I'll try looking if there's any extensions messing with it. Thank you for your help!

So I have an update. On Firefox and Arc clearing website data and cookies fixed it. On Chrome going to lemm.ee show me as not logged in, but hitting refresh after the page is loaded shows me logged in. Idk what's causing it 🤷‍♂️
