I never resist anything on a restaurant menu. If I wanted to restraint myself I'd just stay home.

It's like a restaurant that advertises home cooked food. I go out to escape that.

I live in a small backwater town so to those in Manila, I want to ask: is there parking policies there? Like are parking spaces paid to encourage people to not use their cars and just avail of other modes of transport? And if there are any, are violators of these parking policies made to pay a fine and their cars towed to the nearest LTO depot?

Generally, you can't just park anywhere. You can get away with stopping to the side temporarily (e.g. picking up someone), but if the MMDA is around, they would clamp your car.

Either the establishment you're staying at has parking slots or you find a place nearby to park.

Little late to the news that Plexamp is "free" now, as it's one of the few reasons why I think the lifetime pass was justified. It then led me to decentralized FOSS players like Funkwhale and Navidrome. Ma-check nga mamaya.
