now this thing is just fucking with me lmao. how??? im so confused. i tried it on another account on mastodon.nl as well, plus I can find lemmy.ml posts if i search for them from indieweb.social, so it does not seem like the instances are defederated

@fediverse_report

Without knowing the protocol, I’d guess there’s something in the data packet from indieweb that lemmy is sensitive to.

First guess would be the recipients/inbox lost or whatever it’s called. Maybe the order is off or there’s something extraneous in there that vanilla masto doesn’t have.

yeah that makes sense. thanks a lot of testing with me tho, much appreciated!

oh, final check out of interest: did this comment made from lemmy show up in your hachyderm notifications at least?

@fediverse_report

Yep, loud and clear.

Increasingly suspicious that it’s something on the indieweb instance tripping lemmy up and that interop is no worse than it used to be (which would probably be no one’s but the protocol’s fault TBH).

Incidentally, was looking for someone who posts between masto and Lemmy a lot (https://aus.social/@ajsadauskas) and found this on topic post: https://lemmy.ml/comment/7394900
