I highly recommend taking a trip to the falls if you ever can. It's a unique experience that no photo or video can truly capture. Visit both the American and Canadian sides if you're able.

Niagara Falls, NY is a run down, crime ridden, poopiehole of a city. The Canadian side is much nicer of a place to be.
I agree about the cities, but I think the views are equally breathtaking.
As a New Yorker even I cannot pretend that the Canadian view of Horseshoe Falls isn’t better.
I think it looks amazing from both sides.

Neither, at an observation area in the state park. We did go to the lookout and the bridge later, but this was our first stop.

I read it first as "Nigeria falls from the US side" and it was weird
Why isn't US Government picking it up? Are they stupid?
It's the noise and the scale that really drives the experience home, the sheer volume of water coming through there is ridiculous. Well worth a visit for sure.
