I made a playlist of all doctor who in order. When i play it plays doctor who lockdown s0e1 instead of doctor who 1963 s1e1. Is there a fix or another way of doing this? Id want like movies to play after a certain episode along with spinoff shows

Since 0 comes before 1 you're probably gonna need to rename the files and possibly the metadata as well. Probably gonna need a custom numbering scheme to do what you want to do.

But im confused as why it let me sort the media in the playlist then ignore the order. Also doctor who lockdown has no metadata

I suggest to file a bug report. I too would expect a playlist to play in the order of the playlist. If nothing else a bug report will bring clarity and it might add an extra test case to look out for or clarify some existing documentation.
