Release Overview - Stable Versions

Keep in mind that the official changelog website is often behind actual release versions, the website is maintained by marketing people. Also note that not every single change/issue is mentioned in the release notes, because lots of changes are done in the background e.g. filter-list changes etc.

Just a reminder that the guy behind @bravebrowser @brave was kicked from Mozilla for being a bigoted piece of shit, and that he continues to be a piece of shit attacking the health care workers who saved millions of lives during the pandemic.

I don't care. I'd rather stop using the internet altogether than going back to FF, its shitty community and the scam that Mozilla is.

@Engywuck Cool story bro.

Also, there are other browsers besides Brave that are not run by shitvipers who fund anti-LGBTQIA organizations.

But I like Brave, so I'll keep using it.

@Engywuck Yeah I know, people cool with bigotry tend to look past other people's bigotry.

I switch to Brave from Firefox recently and prefer it more. What’s wrong with Brave?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

@badgrandpa I linked his COVID denial comments above, but also he is a unrepentant bigot who supports the dehumanization of LGBTQIA+ people and was run out of Mozilla for this.

Brave is literally the browser built on bigotry, brought to us by white men who hate to see one of their own face consequences for such bigotry.

Well is democracy, freedom of speech he can say what he wants. I don’t know how this apply to the software. We all used hardware manufactured in china - totalitarian country - so we shouldn’t use the products made in china?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

@badgrandpa
Here is some news for you: free speech has got legal limits.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago

@badgrandpa I'm not going to tell you what you should do about China. I'm telling you why I remind people that Brave is a bit of software funded by VC's to keep a bigot employed.

I get that you may be cool with that. I'm not. And not enough people know who the CEO is or why Brave was founded.

Also, democracy nor freedom of speech have anything to do with this discussion. I am not the government. I am exercising my rights to call him out as a shit person, publicly.

@overkill0485 @reflex

I started using Firefox for Android pretty recently and haven't had any complaints so far. I remember trying it many years ago on an older device and not being impressed. But the current version is great on my Pixel 6.

@flamepanther @overkill0485 Yeah, using the Flatpak version of Librewolf on my Fedora install and it's working great. Mozilla has come a long way.

@reflex
I've been a fan of their desktop browser ever since they split from Netscape. For awhile, they lost their way a little bit in terms of keeping things light and fast. But Firefox feels really snappy again these days!

@flamepanther @reflex @overkill0485 Add me to the Firefox train. Started using it as my primary browser in January and haven’t looked back.

Firefox mobile.

You can install ublock origin in it and block ads just as well as on desktop.

Thanks for posting, I actually had no idea. Glad I swapped back to Firefox a few weeks ago.

I tried Brave, wasn't a fan of the notifications.

@itsgroundhogdayagain @reflex
I liked the aggressive privacy defaults. But I didn't like how it pushes crypto stuff until you tell it not to.

I wouldn't consider Fauci a "healthcare worker". He's a fucking millionaire.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

That's like saying: "I don't consider Patrick Stewart an actor. He's a fucking millionaire." Just a profoundly stupid statement. Do you think that Fauci is just some old guy who looks good in a mask? He's been a doctor for like 55 years. He's been the director of the NIAID for 40.

"I wouldn't consider Fauci a 'healthcare worker'". Jesus, what a dumb thing to say.
