i think most people like to be a tenant but don't like their neighbours to be a host.
yes, i prefer the real homestay concept where people supposed to live together with the host.
Welcome to our virtual third place, The Café.
Come on in and make a new human connection over a cup of coffee (or Teh Tarik). This is a casual community, do whatever you want, share your oyen pics, your frustrations, and even organize a weekend picnic with the community. The world is your oyster.
Rules are simple, be kind and civil with each other. As with any other café, rude patrons will be kicked out.

In my neighborhood in Subang Jaya there's a double storey link house which is listed as a homestay or something . No idea if it's actually on AirBnB but its close enough.
Because it's a normal sized house in a taman, it's not attractive as a tourist accommodation but it's good for parties. Weddings (all 3 races also got) is most common. Some events are a hassle, cos they generate so many cars in the local roads.
But the worst one was the house was rented as a BN balai gerakan or whatever for the recent General Election. My god these guys are pricks. Simply park, rubbish everywhere, noisy till late night, obnoxious behavior. I think it was their operations center for 1 or 2 weeks.
I was so happy BN lost with a crushing defeat.
