Thanks to everyone's advice last weekend, I've been able to get my milk foam much closer to what it should be for latte art. It turned out that I had way too much foam, which is delicious and I love it, but I was never going to get art with it.

Now come the practice rounds.

Even less air! And bang the pitcher on the counter and swish it around until those larger bubbles disappear

I got it down by putting the wand in the correct place. Too low and it's just hot milk. Too high and it's a cappuccino

It's in between that makes a latte

I've noticed that I can put the wand in far enough to heat the milk, then once it's near the temp I want, I move it to just under the surface to get the amount of foam I want.

I do the opposite, I get the foam first, then I make a "milk tornado" to mix the foam with the wand deeper in and the container turned a little to the side
