I'm starting to wonder if there are white label ultrasonic sensors out there since this looks like the Beckett. It also looks like this won't support 120 AC. I'm in the USA and our namby pamby grid can't handle it.

Thank you so much for this detail! You've made it sound like a fun (and wonderfully over engineered) solution. I may just give it a go because it sounds like I may learn a lot!

This is a really cool project. I do have a pi zero laying around...

Have you had any issues with this setup? Also was the ir necessary because of the interior of the box?

I think this is exactly what I'm looking for! Have you used these in the past? I like that I can keep the float

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago (1 children)

I've seen a few that screw into the float sensor location. But maybe a DIY would be a good path!

We heat our house with oil (grumble grumble grumble) but our float sensor is not a very accurate measure and it's out of the way to actually see. Has anyone come across a sensor that works with HA and has been reliable? Bonus points for something that still has an "analog" view in case of problem

I've seen some sensors on Amazon but I'm skeptical of anything through there.

Article please!

Thanks for the tip. I'll give this a go and see where I can get it!

Are you referring to the screws underneath the build plate? Or do you mean the bolts to the frame? I've never had to go this far to level a bed so want to make sure I'm doing this right

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (6 children)

Oh yeah I mean it's definitely not level. The 3 pro doesn't seem to have a way to manually level it. There are eccentric nuts which I have tightened, and that did stop the bed from rocking. But I think this is the "natural" lay of the bed. It seems like the disparity is vast

Wasn't sure if there was something that I'm not seeing on how to fix this on this particular device.

Is this beyond the pale? Recently got a Neptune 3 pro and have been having issues. Anyone have some tips? Is this resolvable? Can a bed for these be replaced?

I uncommented the Gcode line to use this matrix now which I didn't before. But still having a lot on inconsistencies.

This book is sitting in our office. Is it actually a good read? Its very dusty so I always wrote it off as just another corporate book.

Just spotted this community on the instance and thought this seemed really cool! What are some good things to know about these boards? Any obvious limitations compared to raspberry pis? And what about these handheld emulators? Any gold standard options right now? Better yet, any prime day deals?

That looks great. Did you use any particular nozzle to get that to come out so clean? I've heard wood can get clogged up pretty easily

Wow I definitely need to check out that black one. What a great project idea too!

Anyone have any favorite "wow factor" filament? Recently picked up a clear filament with rainbow streaks through it and was wondering what other cool stuff is hiding out there!

Hey all, anyone else running Chimera or HoloIso (I'm not opposed to switching) through an AVR with any success? For some reason the audio drops frequently even after a new HDMI.

Drops only occur through the AVR, tested on TVs and soundbars. Any thoughts on where to start troubleshooting would be great. Or if I should just switch off Chimera in general!
