Based on my experience working in a call center, I wouldn't call it unnecessary. People are fucked up.

I'm so glad the Lions got the Jared Goff contract done. But by this time next year it won't look outrageous. Same thing happened the last time we resigned Stafford.

Whole point of the Hyperloop was to stop California from building out high speed rail. And it worked. Musky thought it would cut into his EV sales.

Steve did it with Newegg. Tech Jesus has balls when gamers/enthusiasts are getting screwed.

E:D has the basics of a good game, but never builds upon them. FDev is deathly afraid of player agency. They want you to play like it's on rails in a single player game, but have it an "MMO" for the PVP.

One of these guys is promising to go dictator, eliminate democracy, and seek retribution against those that "wronged" him. Not hard to see why so many are committed to voting against him.

This poll isn't the knock against Biden that many think it is.

Ironically, that is why I wanted Stadia to succeed. It would have forced many game companies to consider Linux.

But Google screwed the pooch.

We already have, Tubby. We have.

The potential problem is they waited too long to make season 2 and killed the momentum. Wednesday on Netflix is in the same boat.

According to Adam Schefter:

Lions receive:
CB Carlton Davis, Buccaneers 2024 6th-round pick and a 2025 6th-round pick

Buccaneers receive:
Lions 2024 third-round pick.

Carlton Davis hasn't played a complete season in his entire career. He's good, not great, but I think we got hosed on this one. Carlton Davis has one year left on his contract.

Deal is for 1 year, haven't seen any terms yet.

Davenport isn't the Vikings DE I wanted to sign, and was injured most of 2023.

Rumors? Maybes? News about players the Lions have been linked to? Keeping tabs on the North? Get in here!

For anyone that actually signs or agrees to a contract with the Lions, I'll do a separate post.

3 years, $20M. $9M guaranteed.

Lions have signed Emmanuel Moseley to a one year deal. Haven't heard for how much yet. Moseley has torn ACLs two years in a row, so hopefully he is healthy and stays healthy. If he stays healthy, it will be a boost to the CB position.

Zylstra missed all of last year with a knee injury in training camp. Haven't seen the terms, but obviously this guy isn't breaking the bank.

Special teamer Jalen Reeves-Maybin has been extended with a two year, $7.5M contract.

So we have an extra $30.6M to spend, but so does every other team. Lions now have ~$65M in cap space. Set aside $15M for the draft rookies and we have $50M to spend.

Extend Goff and St Brown NOW! Then we can chase those free agents who's prices just went up.

The Detroit Lions have fired Dre Bly, defensive backs coach.

The Lions have hired:
Terrell Williams as defensive line coach/defensive run game coordinator
Deshea Townsend as defensive backs coach/defensive pass game coordinator
Jim O'Neil as a defensive assistant

The Lions have released Safety Tracy Walker.
The move frees up $5.5M of cap space.

Whew. Frank is back for another run! Allows us to concentrate more on the defense in the offseason.

Has anyone got Home Assistant to work with an IP phone as a local voice control?

I have a Grandstream GXP 2140, and I cannot get it talking to HA for the functionality. It doesn't have the same settings as the Grandstream pots to IP Phone device from the article.

https://www.home-assistant.io/voice_control/worlds-most-private-voice-assistant/

I have Whisper and Piper installed, and showing up under the Wyoming protocol. I have the IP Phone addon installed, but it never detects my phone.
