I can recommend Surviving mars . Sure it's more of a economic balance game. But it is scratching the same problem solving itch for me.
Don't sweat it... 1 hour blocks are working as well. Sure it takes ages to make progress but on the plus side you probably won't dream of factorio if you keep the dosage low
Schade... Je nachdem welche Software und welches OS kannst du dem Prozess weniger CPU geben damit er den Rest nicht so aus bremst und ne ssd wenn du noch keine hast π
