And flat colors too. No gradients, blur, transparency, or dithering.

I think I had this guy's exact issue and maybe even stumbled upon his comment in that Microsoft support forum thread. It looks very familiar, but I could have just seen the meme before.

My problem was that I needed to do this for 100+ files, so using the UI individually for each file was out of the question. The eventual solution I found was in this tutorial for adding a context menu entry that changes folder/file ownership recursively. It's been very useful!

I read this post and my first thought was "oh, it's like how fans post videos of fun glitches in video games and then speedrunners sometimes end up finding a use for them in order to beat the game faster."

Scientific progress is just glitch-hunting and speed/challenge-running.

Such unexpected behavior from a person who was unfaithful to their spouse and who brought a cameraperson into a public bathroom. I'm shocked (/s)

I know you're mostly joking, but that might have actually been my bad. I edited to add the spoiler tag minutes after I posted the link (mostly as a joke) even though this is probably one of the most well known plot points ever. It might have still done that if the link was inside a spoiler tag though.

I didn't consider the bot when I commented, but next time I'll remember not to have the clickable link text be the spoiler. That way the bot doesn't repeat it.

Pink: "You could be a responsible person and be productive right now."

Green: "🥺"

Pink: "... or we could take a nap instead."

Green: "Yes, I'd prefer that."

There is additional context that "do the thing" in ADHD speak usually means completing the task that has been stressing you out, but that you keep putting off and feeling guilty about. Taking a nap instead, in such cases, is more about de-stressing and forgiving yourself for another day of failing to complete the task and not about being lazy. In the comic, this conversation takes place between two characters, but in reality it's usually an individual, internal process.

Edit: Additionally, I translated "floor time" as "nap", but it could be any non-stressful activity, even just laying on the floor, wide awake, and staring at the ceiling.

Wow, 18 years old. Born as a result of puppy milling, then put into a shelter after the mill was shut down. I would not expect a dog born in those circumstances to be as healthy as to live for that long. The owner obviously took very good care of them and I'm sure they lived a very happy life.

Recently, there came out a way of recompiling N64 games for PC without a decompilation and with mostly working results. It is technically possible to apply the hack patch and then recompile it for PC. I don't know if there's a way to apply HD texture packs on top of that though (edit: there seems to be in the video, but I haven't looked into how).

Ahoy hearties! Here what I be thinkin'. Reddit be chargin' tens of millions of doubloons for third-mates to access the API, aye? They be claimin' to deserve a share of the booty for providin' trainin' data for AI (and obviously to kill competition with third-mate apps to boot).

Methinks if yee MUST chatter with those landlubbers (such as for the purpose of recruitin' new mates or cussing out mutinous scabs), then yee ought to make any text data yee provide unappealing and unusable to potential AI-training-customers.

Paintings of (Sexy) Captain John Oliver will only sully the attention of the human users. But (pirate) coded language mayhaps be an obstruction for bots? For those who find pirate speak to be too much effort, an alternative be to speak "sdrawkcaB".

I can no longer cast my bottled messages to Reddit's shore, so any of you seadogs are free to pass it along.
