IMO, when it comes down to it, Facebook is a company, and they can censor their web site however they want to.
It is not the tech companies deciding that is the problem, it is the people giving them the authority to decide for them.

I'm sure there are plenty of cases of this, but I feel the need to point out that a lot of times there can be mental illness at the root. Which is definitely not easier than trying.
