I suspect that where you select on the extremely liberal to extremely conservative spectrum might have a correlation to which fake news titles you fall for. What sounds like obvious propaganda to you may sound like any news article that some may see from a more sensationalist less reliable news source, especially to those predisposed to conspiracy theories.

Exams are for testing ability to learn that knowledge. If/when you need that knowledge you have a starting point for how and where to obtain the necessary information again.

I think I'd have to go with RC Bray. I could listen to him tell me just about anything.

Yup, if two months ago they said reddit premium members won't experience any changes, and started pushing ads to 3rd party clients and restricted NSFW posts on 3rd party clients without premium I bet there would have be considerably less push back. I know I probably would have ponied up to $60/year,but instead I have abandoned the site without any intention to return.

It was funded by an office furniture company. It's 100% propaganda, and pretty ridiculous that it even got any amount of traction.

This isn't the only property that makes mental math easy. What is 3.5% of 62? Inverting the percentages doesn't really help but if we realized 3.5% = 1%+1%+1%+0.5% we have some easy math. This gives us 0.62+0.62+0.62+0.62/2=2.17

Also remember there isn't a teacher sitting over your shoulder to check your work, most of the time you do mental math, getting close is good enough. 62 is close to 60 and 3.5% is close to 4, and 60 x 4% is easy math to get an answer that will be a little less than 2.4.

I'd love if there was a "meta subreddit" option here in the fediverse so I could group together every instance of say !cats and the eventual hundreds of variants on black cats, or orange cats, or illegally smol cats, into a single easy to view link. This way it would be easy to just and new groups of similar discussion into a single continuous channel. Perhaps this may be a thing once more of the apps start to take off and mature, but until then it's definitely a thing I'm missing here.

I'm of the opinion that if you want a closed off, strongly moderated, safe space forum you probably shouldn't be federating with anyone.

I'd say AI is in a sort of weird teenage years of being not good enough to truly add value to human experiences but powerful enough to cause significant amounts of harm.
