How do you motivate yourself to learn new characters? (lemmy.world)
 

For some time now I've been thinking about tipping my toe into a second character next to Baiken.

But I feel like there is still soooo much to learn for Baiken, that taking on another character would be like breaking off my Baiken training.

On the other hand I feel like I put so much work into Baiken already (about 100 hours). Working my way up to that point with another character feels like a daunting task.

I also only have 1-2 hours every couple of days to play and I'm not sure I can deal with learning a new char and maintaining my Baiken skill level.

Hoe do you fellas deal with the urge to play a new char, while trying to not lose focus on your main?

Favourite: Baiken Parry. Nothing else sends Dopamine to my brain as fast as hearing the sound of a succesfull parry.

Least favourite: HPB. Everytime I get hit by one I feel like I'm being forced to see a 90 minute movie about how bad I am at this game.

I need to survive for 3 days without pooping, and eating as little as possible. I can pee, but not very often. It can't take up too much space. What food do I pack? in c/[email protected]

I kinda like it but there are a couple of things that don't vibe with me too much, maybe because Strive was my first fighting game and I'm so used to it. SF6 is pretty much my first SF aswell.

Like that many specials have 4 different modes in light, medium, heavy and EX. That's both hard to see visually in the heat of combat and also just not very interesting to me? For most speicials I'd prefer just a normal and a EX version and the won space used to just give evryone one more special or Command normal or something.

I also miss Roman Cancels way more than I expected.

Music, Lore and Characters aren't as great as GG but thats hard I guess. It's just not oit there enough for me. "Graffiti-Music-Ninja" and "Non-Consentual-Ballet-Mommy" are great but I'm missing shit like "Possessed Bedframe" and "Yu-Gi-Oh Wizard".

This all sounds pretty negative, but I'm nitpicky here. SF6 is a great game and I'll play it from time to time. GG is were I'm at home though.

Is there a way to contact a mod of a private sub? (lemmy.world)
 

One of my most used subs (Guilty_Gear) went private.

I'd like to contact the mods there and ask them if they considered migrating to Lemmy.

How would I go about that, when the sub is private and I have no idea who any of their mods are?

My only idea would be to ask around bigger Guilty Gear discords.
