Well no wonder I never had more bandwidth, it's all your metrics eating it up!
With a lot of solar equipment, the tech support has access to a lot of settings us installers don't, so we've had times where we tell the tech that we've done everything we can, including restarting it (and with my experience with Generac inverters, restarting them can and will break something!), and sometimes it really feels like they do click a magic button, say "how about now?", then it works
I have a dark secret. I used to have CenturyLink DSL around 5 years ago, and the tech asked me if I had restarted the modem during one of the many stints where I would get bits per second rather than the "10mbps" we were supposed to get
I lied every time. I'm sorry CenturyLink tech support employee, but man did CenturyLink suck, and man am I absolutely sure that it never fixed the issue.
At one point I filed a complaint with the FCC and got a letter from CenturyLink telling me that they knew about the complaint!
I'm not sure if like counts were actually going to be hidden, they just hid what you like, so your likes are private only to you but still add to the total of likes on the post
Ironically the people that like your posts are visible to you still, so anyone that's well known trying to hide what they like can still easily be outed by the poster
I'll definitely check some of those out, thanks! I have a little experience with Linux since every self hosted server PC I've built has always had Ubuntu Server, but even then I was tempted to try and dual boot Mint
The opposite of this would be the fly that, rather than escape through the open part of the window, would rather fly into the glass over and over and over and over and over
"Phase 1, never show the crossing symbol!
Phase 2, when they leave and right when they're far enough away to miss it, hit them with the cross!
Phase 3, world domination."
As Microsoft adds ads in more places more and more, I consider moving over to Linux but I just have too many files and weird Windows only programs that I use that I can't
I also haven't really found a desktop environment I really like yet, so I'm open to suggestions for dual booting!
When I first saw that I was like "great, I have a virus"
Nope, just Windows
Almost every time I restart my Windows PC from an update, it sits on the "closing apps screen" or "restarting" screen then gives up completely and I have to force it to shut down/restart
And, just about every other time I restart with an update, it closes apps and then just fully shuts down after the update!
It's super graceful! 😭
I gotta say, this is one of the few comics I've seen where I didn't get the joke at all until it was explained
"yes, of course I'm spiderMAN, Stan!"
