He isn't sneering because he is proud of deceiving people, because he isn't deceiving anyone. He is enjoying everybody else's frustration and powerlessness.
It's a fucked up idea, but if this whole ordeal weakens the US, it might delay if not prevent a war with China, and actually save billions. It's not exactly a consolation, but the bombs used in the mountains of Lebanon are not going to be used in East Asia.
Like ok I don't think neocons are trots, I don't know what christianized means.
