"I hope Mainz, despite their repeated failed attempts to avoid making the due payment, take solace from the knowledge that they have, through me, contributed financially in trying to make life a little more bearable for the children of Gaza"

Nice little burn from El Ghazi.

Did he mistake the UK for Gaza?

Also reception isn't anywhere near as formal as Year 1. It's pretty much an extension of the nursery experience which many children will have given the need for both parents to work.

It's literally a breach of the law to be supplying weapons to a country engaging in human rights violations, war crimes and a possible genocide. That's why Lammy has buried the legal opinion which the Tories also sat on.

The government is the law breaker. The people going to prison are the ones upholding international law.

He says he was arrested under section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000 which makes it illegal to stay anything even remotely non critical about a "proscribed organisation" like Hamas. It is extraordinarily repressive.

To clarify this is part of what section 12 says:

Proscription makes it a criminal offence to: express an opinion or belief that is supportive of a proscribed organisation, reckless as to whether a person to whom the expression is directed will be encouraged to support a proscribed organisation.

A high ranking civil servant and subject matters expert on war crimes resigned recently over the governments complicity in war crimes. They know what they're doing is illegal. They just don't give a shit.

Silly lawyers. Don't they know that Israel is above the law?

You mean not guilty surely?

Is this like how Epstein committed suicide in prison?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Biden has been consistently pro Israel for decades. I don't think it's political opportunism. If it was he would have read the room months ago and told Netanyahu to wrap up the genocide.
