Strong anti-trust enforcement is the key. As long as the major cloud providers are actually competing, it shouldn't be an issue.

Price-fixers need to face real consequences, not like the slap on the wrist that they got for fixing the price of ebooks at 10$.

Well, there's at least one character and organization that thinks the aliens couldn't do any worse then what humans have already done.

This is pretty mich the plot of Three Body Problem.

It would be so nice to live in this black and white world that you and the extremists both live in. To the rest of the world, the religious Zionists and Hamas are BOTH religious zealots that wish for the death of an entire ethnicity.

I'm not advocating for Hamas or Zionists, I'd like the US government to stop supporting genocide. It seems like a pretty simple concept that Israelis don't understand.

If you have a group of desperate people with nothing to lose, those people are easy to recruit by terrorists.

No, I'm sure you're right and children in Gaza are just born evil with rocket launchers in their hands. I'm sure their disposition towards Israel is in no way the fault of religious Zionists in Israel who describe them as animals and treat them as such. I'm sure Hamas and Hezbollah would still be able to convince the children of Gaza to sign up to to launch rockets at Israel even if those children had adequate access to food, water, trade, and sovereignty.

Oh wait, actually that's total bullshit that makes no sense and you know it. You know Israel is either fully or partially to blame for the conditions that make it so easy for terrorist groups to recruit these people. If a bunch of religious zealots showed up to take my land and kill my family, I'd be the first one to shove a rocket up your ass too.

Well, you already ignored the part about ceasing illegal settlements, supporting a two-state solution, etc... so you're just proving my point that Israel isn't interested in a peaceful solutions, they just want to use the entirely predictable terrorist attacks as a blank check to complete their genocide.

How about stop creating terrorists? These people attack the rest of us too. Is the Israeli plan just to kill every Arab in the region?

[–] OpenPassageways 1 points 2 months ago (8 children)

Where did all these evil people come from? Is it possible that Israel's actions are just going to create even more and worse terrorist groups? Or you think the surviving children will grow up and look kindly on Israel for killing their parents and destroying their homes?

The current extremist government in Israel knows exactly what they need to do to stop Hamas and Hezbollah from continuing to attack Israel, they just don't want to. They'd rather continue to create the conditions for extremism so that these attacks can be used as justification to finish their genocide.

At this point we know that if you keep an entire group of people poor and oppressed with no prospect of economic opportunity or achieving a viable state, they become easier to recruit into a terrorist group. What have they got left to lose? Why NOT grab a rocket and attack your oppressors? This is why international law doesn't allow the creation of stateless persons...

Israel could STOP settlement expansion into the West Bank, first and foremost. They could start complying with international law and internationally recognized borders. They could stop working AGAINST a two state solution.

Maybe the Israelis could stop assassinating their own leaders when they work towards peaceful solutions. They could also stop radicalizing their own youth and defense forces to believe that the only solution is to exterminate the Palestinians.

There is a whole range of things that they could do... I wonder why they don't?

I had heard this as well, but someone else on here was basically saying that his campaign was doomed before this anyways, not sure of the specifics.

Crazy that people paint around switches and smoke detectors instead of unscrewing them.

I believe stiffer penalties for employers WAS part of the bipartisan immigration bill that Trump killed, but I don't have a source for that.

I think the reason this doesn't get addressed is because Republicans actually want to keep the status quo where they can employ illegal immigrants to depress wages. They just want to use immigrants as a scapegoat to rile people up.
