Can't wait to try it! I love what they did with 1.2

Update: I'm happy to report that the new Shape Builder tool works really well and is very intuitive to use.

Thank you!

I should probably do something similar and mute all my notifications from work after work-hours. Sometimes people like to explain tasks for me in the evening to not forget them the next day. It really doesn't help with unwinding.

I've noticed (with the help of family members and my SO) that I've become very negative, cynical and drained lately. Reading about burnout, I find all of the symptoms to be true for myself.

My job requires me to work on a single project full-time, and a couple of small side-projects. The management of the project is very chaotic and I feel more and more inadequate for my position. Priorities constantly change and just looking at the week's schedule in Monday, I can tell the we're not going meet the set goal by Friday. It has been like that for more than a year. It doesn't help that I've become very pessimistic about the main project's future.

Outside of work, I don't have much free time. The little I have, I try to spend with my loved ones. Hobbies and other interests are on the back burner.

As the title implies, I don't have the option of quitting or taking a sabbatical at the moment.

I know kbin is not a replacement for therapy but I was just wondering if anyone has been through this and found anything helpful other that distancing from their current workplace.

So far this is the best answer in here.

Just choose something you can wrap your head around and start from there. No need to jump to anything complicated like Arch linux.

I first started gaming on openSUSE and then moved to Fedora. Can't say I don't have to look around for answers to run some games but I'm more than happy with the experience in general. I play some older games like Deus Ex, Baldur's gate and such, but I also play Cyberpunk 2077, Stray and Marvel's Spider-man Remastered without any real issues.

Also, let's be realistic about it - arm yourself with a bit of patience, because the process of installing games could be as simple as clicking install and then play, but it could also require some tinkering to get some games running smoothly.

Oh, man! It's moving up my "must find time to play" list!

Do you play with a controller or keyboard and mouse?

Thank you so much for giving me so much information!

I'll definitely start with the first game. Maybe I'll do a follow-up post or and edit to this one, when I finally get my hands on it.

I really appreciate the advice!

It has been sitting in my backlog for a while now. I've heard very good things about it. Please share your impressions if you do play it!

Thank you very much for the tips! I'll wait and see if I can get the first game on a discount then.

Hey, Patient Gamers!

A while ago I bought Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition on GOG and I think it's time to finally try it. Do you have any advice for a new player? I do enjoy DnD and I've played a handful of cRPGs, but I'm not an expert by any measure.

Other than any advice for playing the game, I'd appreciate if you share your opinion on whether you think I should play the first Baldur's Gate before playing the second? I read somewhere that it's not a big loss to skip it.
