Hey everyone I’m wanting to switch more to using Peertube but I’m having trouble finding a good instance.

The first one I signed up for was Spectra video but it seems to not be federated with the rest of Peertube. I’d like an instance that is so I can see more of what it has to offer any suggestions?

Thanks!

My computer IP address and port 8096

Hello all!

This is my first time doing anything like this so I’m sure it’s some basic technical thing I’m missing but I’m having trouble with this.

I have my server running on Linux mint and I can get that to work just fine but no matter what I do I cannot connect to the server from the Jellyfin app or swiftfin what’s the most likely cause of this and how can I fix it?

This one has been bugging me for years

I’ve watched this video I’ve seen people talk about it and make theories about it but I got nothing

Here’s all I remember

The start was a black screen with text saying something similar to

“In (some year) a tape was found on a little planet called earth the following footage you’re about to see has nothing to do with that tape”

It then cut to what appearers to be a children’s cartoon but it quickly turns into static with screaming and distorted colors and the music ramps up before ending.

I think the title was something like antamon contency.

The theory I watched about it mentioned whatever the first word of the title was shared a name with a comet that passes by earth or something similar.

Any idea what this video could have been?

Is anyone else having this issue? I’ve tried mobile both app and browser and desktop but the option just isn’t there.

I have an account on Spectra but it seems I cannot access a lot of videos on other instances. What’s the best one that I can see videos from across instances. Thanks!

A year ago today I made my Lemmy account

I now have a Mastodon, a Pixelfed, a bookwyrm, and a Peertube account. I switched off of most google services to privacy respecting ones. A week ago I bought a laptop to run Linux mint on.

And I couldn’t be happier here’s to another year of the Fediverse!

Hello all I just started running Linux Mint and I’m trying to install LibreWolf. I ran the commands I was told on the website but it fails every time am I doing something wrong? And how do I fix it thanks!
