Yes, but they have definitely become worse in recent years.

This is the same guy that said Starfield was coming to PS5 and then had to issue a correction.

Slow down there, Hidalgo.

So out of all the developers that have signed up for the ID@Xbox system, only this one studio is having problems? I'm gonna be honest, I am inclined to believe this may be user error on their part. This announcment comes off as pretty unprofessional as well.

Microsoft even offered them special, curated support by Microsoft staff directly in exchange for the automated ID@Xbox system and the developer declined it. This does not make me see the developer in a good light. Any real developer, indie or otherwise, would have jumped at a chance for that kind of support.

This didn't work for me at first, but I tried it a second time and it actually worked! You weren't kidding about it being a one-time thing though, because I haven't been able to do it since.

That's fine but he already had a very good design. And it was iconic. There was no reason to change it, other than the sake of changing it (which seems to be a reoccurring theme with this remake).

Facial mocap technology has advanced enough that the character doesnt need to look like the face actor at all, so there is no technical reason his design was changed. His voice acting is probably the best in the whole trailer, but I still much prefer the delivery of the original.

They're trying to put way more emotion into the acting, which is going to absolutely RUIN when Mary reads her full letter to James at the end of the game. The "bad" voice acting of the original, with the mostly deadpan delivery, was vital to making the beautifully emotional delivery of the letter reading stand out and evoke more emotion from the player. It's a special and nearly intimate moment the player feels because they just spent the whole game with barely any visible or audible emotion at all. Adding more emotion will only take away from that.

Surely Gauntlet has to be there.

The huge Gauntlet Legends cabinet blaring its sound effects at the local arcade is etched into my memory. That and Time Crisis 3.

Reddit has more content. And arguably, more content that is actually important. It has this advantage over Lemmy because Reddit is older.

If bots can bring the important information over to Lemmy, then that will make Lemmy more valuable. None of the anti-bot users are lining up to manually do all that work themselves.

Most Lemmy users are robophobic. They hate bots with a passion regardless of their function, so they likely blocked them or reported them or whatever, leading to the bots not being considered popular and many just being outright removed.

It sure feels like more than half of them label themselves as some blend of metroidvania, as long as it isnt a cardbattler or a roguelike, its 100% going to label itself a metroidvania.

Metroid, which spawned more than half of all indie games.

Truly a nostalgic period
