You're forgetting about when they were 0 and 2

That's about it. Why would anyone work for $20k/yr when they could get $12k for free? They wouldn't. So those jobs would bump to $30k+, and a domino affect would occur. Nothing would be achieved other than the devaluing of the American dollar, which would lead to a loss of jobs, increased poverty, and guess what else - increased homelessness.

Germany made this bed with Russia intentionally. Now they have to sleep in it. Trump dunked on them at the time for it: https://youtu.be/9LLZBVTid4I?si=VSB156ePNHI61R8c

Save the people from themselves. They are too ignorant to have control of their bodies.

When I'm just a little bit sick I have a mixed drink using NyQuil that I like to call the Jolly Green Giant:
1 part whiskey
2 parts ginger ale
30ml NyQuil (you'll want to reduce this amount if having multiple)
Several dashes lemon juice
Garnish with lemon wedge

Enjoy!

The bed didn't break, so I feel like everybody did their job here

No caffeine, work out, get outside around sundown, take like half a NyQuil dose at 10pm, read in bed.

I can only speak for myself, and am not a teen, but I can tell you I used to be able to, but can no longer: hear a person's phone number once and memorize it, remember 4-5 directional turns without writing it down, watch a 2 hour movie I'm not enthralled with, stare at traffic or people walking by and not be upset I'm wasting my time.

I think it's more the access to knowledge and productivity that has changed our society's concept of what needs to be remembered or what we should spend our thought on, than it is a generational neuro-difference.

This was one of the first posts that made me sign up for Reddit some 10+ years ago. Now I've been on Lemmy for a week and I see it again for the first time since.

I'm choosing to take it as a good sign.
