Could someone explain like I am dumb, because I am. I don't get it but I want to.
Firefox doesn't handle webapps well that is why.

Just remember the creators do not distribute a premade apk. They only provide the tools to make one yourself. If you download a premade apk it is not official and could be messed with. With that being said I have been using it for over a year and have had nothing happen to the google account that was logged in. It is super easy to make your own apk my wife make her own in about 5 min with me only sending her to the official repo.
They do not care about that, all they care is you think that they do and by more of their stuff
All they did was make it so if you tried to open IE on windows it redirects to edge. They cant get ride of it becuse lots of core programes use it still. Also lots of. Net applications still need it. Like HP printer management software HP webjet.
I think it might be that windows has kept just building on top of the same stuff over and over without fixing or taking out unessential things. Like how they cant take internet explorer out of windows because it is critical to the OS.
I love the new bugs they have added. It added much needed variety.
I am but it would be nice to have it in other apps on my phone
