Hue lights also works from the light switch just like a normal bulb.

That's just Germany. I don't think the anti-nuclear sentiment is that popular elsewhere. Finland just started a new reactor, granted we began bulding it already back in 2005.

What are you saying?

While I basically agree with what you're saying, I'd also like to point out that the money they get from you watching ads is miniscule. I don't remember which YouTuber it was, maybe Matthias Wandell, who said that if you donate just one dollar, that's more than they're ever going to profit from you watching ads.

That happened to me on desktop aswell. I updated Firefox and uBlock and rebooted my computer and that seems to have solved it. For now..

People here mostly seem to vote on basis of who they think the commenter is - not what they're saying.

Why even bother responding to me if, instead of addressing what exactly you take issue with in my statement, you just immediately resort to insults?

The only times I see people like me, who prefer owning a car "shouting down" people adcovating for better public transport, is when people suggest I should get rid of my car and ride a bus instead. A good public transportation system is a net-good for everyone, and in no way inconveniences me especially if I never even use it. It's not busses and trains I have an issue with - it's the naive city dwellers who thinks that because they get around just fine without a car then anyone would.

Solid Explorer but it's not like I've tried all the others too. It's what I always go to and it has served me good.

I'm a bit torn between a splitting axe and a mace/morning star of some sort.

An axe offers better penetration and is useful for other tasks aswell but perhaps posseses greater risk of getting stuck. A mace is not as versatile but is highly effecive when making direct contact with the skull and is unlikely to get stuck. A mace is also easier to improvise and customize for individual preferences.

This is the niche topic I'm into and since nobody else has made a community for it I made one myself.

All related discussion is welcome: preparing, weapons, base location, vehicles, tactics, rebooting civilication etc.

My feed is currently being flooded with r/place spam that I could easily hide with a content filter like I did on reddit. Would be really nice to get this feature on the blocked-page.

This indeed is my bike and it's been like that all summer but I'm not actually concerned that it's going to catastrophically fail on me though it might. Already have a new set of tires but I'll try to save them for winter to save the new grippy tread pattern.

The extreme wear is most likely caused by running these at 4 - 5psi while it's way freezing outside.

Now with all the discussion going on about Facebook joining the fediverse and what to do about it many people seem to be advocating for defederating with them thinking that they're going to grab all your data and this is the only way to stop them.

I'm not especially educated on the subject but my understanding is that this is not at all what defederating does and also I don't think that's going to stop them from getting the little data that's here publicly available for anyone anyways.

I'm trying to get my head around the entire concept of the fediverse but it seems like there's very few people who actually understand how it works and these people seem entirely absent in these popular threads I'm reading.

Voi vastata myös suomeksi.

From the street my house looks abandoned but luckily I'm not keeping up with the Joneses

This is probably a feature and not a bug but when I get a reply to a message and I click to see the context it takes me out of sopuli and logs me out. I think it's because it's on a sub that's on another instance but I'm not sure. Still trying to figure out this platform.

EDIT: Apparently clicking the non-colored context button takes me to the message but doesn't log me out
