First thing I do with any tiktok? Mute it. Tiktok is so much better without audio.

Tachiyomi is a great android app for comics/manga. I've been using it for years.

If you got an Android device, I use NZB360, in conjunction with radar and sonar. I can monitor and search remotely on my server using that. Then sends it to Plex.

Some of the best piracy options might cost you.. Drebid, Usenet, Private Indexers, Seedboxes. They all cost money to varying degrees.

Hell if I'm being honest with myself, I've sunk way more into piracy than I probably would have spent just paying for a streaming service. What with building my server and buying extra hard drives, buying blocks of data, paying for API access. That stuff can add up. I know I could do free alternatives, but I really like how I have things set up now, and I love building my media collection and sharing it with my friends and family.

Yeah sure. I've used NZBGeek, DOGnzb, nzb.su, binsearch, filesharingtalk and drunkenslug. Some are invite only, if you're interested I do have a few invites left for DOGnzb... If you're gonna go down this road, you'll definitely want multiple indexers.

Very nice! Now that you have the space, you'll fill it faster than you might imagine lol. I just converted my old tower into an unRAID server a few months ago. i7-8700 with a gtx1080 and 16gb of RAM. Great learning experience. I just added in a 20TB drive for parity, freeing up my old parity drive. I'm now up to 60TB total space with 32TB used.

Sorry just getting used to notifications in lemmy so I didn't see this till now. But @[email protected] summed it up perfectly.

You need A client, an indexer, and a Usenet provider.

I use SABnzbd for my client, I've got several different index sites, and 3 providers. One of which is a yearly unlimited subscription and the other 2 are bucket plans where I buy access to a set amount of GB to download and once I use it, I either buy more or lose access. They basically serve as backup servers if something can't be found on my main unlimited server. I use prowlarr in conjunction with radarr and sonarr to manage my indexers and shows and movies, and use SABnzbd as my download client, connected to my Usenet provider. It works beautifully once you get it set up right.

I just finished moving all my media to x265 and saved 7TB in the process. Quality looks plenty good to me but I always start from a remux if I can. Totally Worth it for the extra space.
