Considering you have to patch yourself the app with their tool and the tool doesn't need root access, I've never had this problem.

I used the same power delete suite as stated in another comment. Worked great. You can also try shreddit.

After seeing this post, I went to the play store to give my 1 star review. Then I saw that I already put 1 star back in 2017 stating that the app is crap xD

While I get your excitement and willingness to invite more people here, I don't believe Sync and its team should be responsible for or representative of the potential migration of its users.

Of course, the official Sync Lemmy community should be advertised, but as for the choice of migrating and choosing an instance, Sync shouldn't interfere with that, as that is not its role or its purpose.
