Just got an email from proton today about their "lifetime deal" for proton pass I currently use bitwarden and Firefox relay but I've been debating trying to drop my Gmail account and switch everything to my proton account. Thinking it would be silly to pay Firefox $12 a year just for relay when I can get that and more from proton for the same price.

All of that to say how exactly does the email alias work and can I set a custom email subdomain to just have an alias get created whenever an email is sent to the email I give someone without me having to go manually create it?

No doubt just saying that some people who drive them as normal people everyday do have a use for it.

Just a small anecdote from a truck owner. I showed up to Lowe's to order a fridge to be delivered. It was $1,800 and I ended up buying the exact same thing on clearance for $400 only stipulation was I had to take it then and there no holds and delivery wasn't even an option. Ya I could have rented a truck from them but it was 9pm and 45 minutes from my house. Without my truck I may not have been able to get it.

Also, I use my truck as a truck at least once a week mostly because I get free garbage at my work so I just throw everything away there and just toss our trash bags in the bed of my truck. It's also great for small projects around the house. Like when I put up our pool. Needed to get dirt out of the back yard and was able to get my truck back there to load everything and then bringing it the sand for under and rocks for around I can get my pick up back there but a company delivering with a dump truck or something similar.

Yup and there was generally a way around it even though most often it involved rooting the phone or using USB passthrough.

But it's fine if I cost an app dev their time and instances money and give nothing to no one? Genuine question because I don't understand all the sync hate.

I have a second account on lemdro.id. It's smaller and mostly android focused but its my main account most days. If world is having issues I don't even think about it I just switch over 😂

But wouldn't trump have to admit guilt to be pardoned? I don't think he could do that.

Self hosted you could use Plex to automatically upload all photos to your computer then download as needed to the other one.

Personally I use Google photos to do this and it works great but will probably require you to get a subscription depending on the size of your library.

My personal phone is android with a work iPhone and I want to transfer things over sometimes so I set up my work phone to upload as well.

I'm currently seeding like 50+ torrents across 2 different private trackers. Have each torrent limited to like 500 connections and I forget what my global is ATM. Only time I ever ran into issues was Hogwarts from a public tracker which was able to saturate my network. Upload like a tb in a week then got an email from my ISP and called that good. Got a 10 ratio on a public tracker which is probably better than 99% of people who use them 😂

Personally I would use a password manager for at work as well. Bitwarden can generate 8 character passwords. Easy enough to remember and if you forget it's right there on your phone.

I have 2 accounts on 2 different instances. Lemmy.world and lemdro.id

When I open lift off it's always set to the lemdro.id account even though lemmy.world was logged in first. Also how do I tell which account I'm currently using other than to go to the account tab at the bottom?
