Sure, you can hate all you want. But does someone have to attack someone like what happened in this news article?! I hate lots of shit, but I don't go around attacking people for it. lol

But do anyone's opinions really matter? It's happened.

Yep, I agree. Even tho I skew socialist (I'm a Conservative Socialist), you are right about Americans being loathe to adopt it or even accept the name. Most people, even here on Lemmy, see the term "socialist" as a pejorative.

Though since the election I am seeing more and more people being pissed about how the democratic party screwed them over and they are more open to third parties. So maybe the socialist parties here in the US may see an uptick.

Which is hilarious to me, because I got banned from .world (and other instances) because I proudly said I voted Socialist instead of Democrat or Republican. lol

Well, she does have a point. I mean, it's why the dems lost the election. Hopefully everyone learns from this.
