Yes. Unless it's necessary for survival.

As for your whool example. While it is possible to shear a sheep without harming them. The sheep that require being sheared should not exist. "Wild" sheep shed and don't require shearing to survive. We shouldn't even be breeding them.

It also commodifies them. Which leads to factory farming and harmful practices. The vast majority of all whool is definitely not collected in an animal friendly manner.

I knew this had to exist! This needs to be somewhere obvious on the Lemmy website. Or even a link in every Lemmy instance. It fixes the main issue.

The only problem I see is it needs another copy button that is just the /c/name@instance so you can paste into URL and stay on your instance.

Wait, the instance you sign up on can block you from seeing whole other instances? I thought it didn't matter where you make a account so much cause you can see the other instances. I'm not a tankie so didn't make my account at lemmygrad, but I still had planned to visit their communities.

Starting to seem like going to need multiple accounts to really use lemmy.
